Founder & President · Quality Cable Contractors · Since 1997
Three decades building telecommunications infrastructure across Central Florida — from Orange County Public Schools to Orlando International Airport. Licensed Florida Certified Specialty Contractor. Still building, still in Orlando.
Jorge del Rio founded Quality Cable Contractors (QCCI) in 1997 — building a Florida telecommunications infrastructure company from the ground up. QCCI is a certified specialty contractor focused on structured cabling, fiber-optic installation, and large-scale communications infrastructure for public-sector and commercial clients across Central Florida.
The company's project portfolio includes work for Orange County Public Schools — one of the largest school districts in the state — and a 2024 contract award from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for telecommunications infrastructure at Orlando International Airport. QCCI also serves private commercial developments, rail-transit communications systems, and utility-scale network deployments.
Still privately held, still headquartered in Orlando. The company holds Florida Certified Specialty Contractor License ES0000248, active since 1997 — one of the longest continuously active specialty licenses of its kind in the state.
Beyond Infrastructure
Three decades of building Central Florida's communications backbone create perspective on more than cable. Current areas of focus:
Fiber-optic expansion, 5G small-cell deployment, and next-generation structured cabling for public-sector and commercial clients across Florida.
Continuing infrastructure work for airports, school districts, and transit authorities — the kind of systems that have to work the first time, every time.
Investing in skilled trades — training and retaining the technicians who install, test, and maintain the physical infrastructure connecting Central Florida.
